# Replies, limits and reply packs

> See how the monthly reply allowance works and how to add more replies.

Your plan includes a number of replies each month. When you need more, you can buy reply packs.

## Monthly allowance

The allowance resets every month. This is also true on annual plans. Playground questions that the bot answers count as replies, like widget questions.

## Reply packs

Reply packs cost \$15 per 1,000 extra replies. Buy 1 to 100 packs at a time. Credits roll over until you use them and are spent only after your monthly allowance runs out.

## What happens as you use replies

**1. At 80%**

The dashboard shows the banner "80% of this period's replies used". You also get an email alert.

**2. At 100% with credits**

The bot keeps answering and spends your reply credits. The dashboard shows "Monthly replies used: now using reply credits".

**3. At 100% without credits**

The bot stops answering. The dashboard shows "Your assistant has stopped answering".

When the bot stops answering, visitors see the contact card with your support details. The widget shows this text above the card:

> This assistant can't answer more questions right now.

The Playground also stops at the limit. It shows this message:

> This organization has used all its replies for this billing period. Upgrade the plan to keep answering.

The bot answers again when the next billing period starts. It also answers again when you buy a reply pack or change to a larger plan.

## Buy more replies

**1. Open Billing**

Select **Billing** in the dashboard sidebar.

**2. Find the card**

Find the card **Buy 1,000 replies**. If you do not see it, contact support.

**3. Choose the number of packs**

Choose how many packs to buy. Then complete the payment.

## Refunds
