# Name, color, icon and welcome message

> Change how the widget looks and what it says first.

The widget settings control how your bot looks on your site. Change them to match your brand.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only workspace Admins can change this. Members see the current values without edit controls.

Find these settings in **Settings**, in the Widget card. Select **Save widget settings** after you change a value.

**Bot name** `text`

The name in the title of the widget panel. Use up to 60 characters. The placeholder is "Acme Assistant".

**Brand color** `hex color`

The main color of the widget. Enter a value such as #rgb or #rrggbb. Paperlink AI picks white or slate for the text on this color, whichever contrasts more. Pick a color that reads well with that text.

**Position** `choice`

Where the widget sits on the page. The choices are Bottom right (default), Bottom left, Top right and Top left. On screens under 480 px wide, the widget always sits at the bottom right.

**Chat icon** `image`

The icon of your bot. Use a PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF of up to 512 KB. SVG is not supported. The icon saves immediately, so you do not need to select Save widget settings. If you do not upload an icon, the widget shows your workspace logo. If there is no workspace logo, the widget shows the default icon. The preview in Settings shows the same image as the widget.

**Welcome message** `text`

The first bubble that a visitor sees. Use up to 500 characters. The placeholder is "Hi! Ask me anything about our product."

> [!NOTE]
>
> The text "Powered by Paperlink AI" shows on every bot today. You cannot remove it yet. See [what is coming](https://paperlinkai.com/docs/guides/help/whats-coming.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> There are no suggested-question settings. The bot writes follow-up questions for each answer on its own.
