# Unanswered questions report

> Find the questions your bot could not answer and close the gaps in your documents.

The Unanswered report lists the questions that your bot could not answer from your documents. Use it to find the facts that your documents do not contain yet.

## What counts as unanswered

The report counts two kinds of question.

* Questions that the bot could not answer from your documents.
* Questions that arrived after you reached your monthly reply limit.

Choose a range of 7, 30 or 90 days at the top of the page.

## What you see on your plan

**Every plan**

Every plan shows the number of unanswered questions in the range. It also shows the top 3 questions.

An upgrade card shows how to get the full report.

**Growth and above, and during your trial**

The full report has these tools.

* A full list of questions, grouped by question.
* A Source filter.
* A Sort control: Most asked or Most recent.
* The columns Question, Times asked, Where and Last asked.
* A trend chart, by day or by week.
* An Export CSV button.

Each row also shows "Contact card shown N of M times". This tells you how often visitors saw your support contact when the bot could not answer.

## Close a gap

**1. Open the conversation**

Select a question in the list to open the conversation.

**2. Find the missing fact**

Read the question. Decide which fact your documents do not contain.

**3. Upload or update a document**

Add the fact to a document. Upload the document as a new version.

**4. Watch the question**

Check the report later. The question stops repeating when the bot can answer it.
