Delete a document when your bot must stop using it. If you only want a fresh read of the document, use Reprocess instead.

What delete does

When you delete a document, Paperlink AI removes these items:
  • The search entries for the document
  • The stored copy of the document
  • The extracted text
Paperlink AI also clears cached answers at once, and your knowledge page usage drops at once. Backups expire within 30 days.

Delete a document

You cannot undo a delete. The bot stops answering from the document right away.

Open Documents

Select Documents in the dashboard sidebar.

Select the trash icon

Select the trash icon on the document row.

Confirm

The dashboard shows this message:
The bot stops answering from this document right away. This can’t be undone.
Confirm to delete the document.

Reprocess instead

Select Reprocess (the circular arrow) to read the document again without removing it. The bot keeps answering from the old text until the new text replaces it.
